Since many bloggers are not web masters they don’t even realize this is needed. So my suggestion is to first check the site to make sure it allows a link. If the site has the nofollow rule try to contact them and suggest they add this plugin:

Wrong submission

Some people think that submitting their web page using automatic submission software will get instant results. Some such packages promise submission to 500 search engines and more. Don’t fall for it! Such submission can be “Spam”. In addition, there are at best, 8 - 10 good search engines that are worth the trouble of submitting to. You will only be wasting your time and money by using these useless submission software’s. It is better to concentrate on a few good search engines and submit your site once a month for good results.
