You Need To Do This If You Want Internet Marketing Success

Hot Tip! Take an internet marketing course. If you can find the right course, even though you will have to pay for the course, the information you can glean can save you hundred or even thousands of dollars as you wade into the fast running stream of internet business opportunities.

Have you any idea what it could be?

Internet Marketing Exposed!

You need to take action. I know, it seems so obvious. Yet so many people do not.

I do not want you to be one of them.

There are so many people who will begin when it is the right time, the best day, when it is summer, when they are not so tired.

Unfortunately, waiting will not lead to success. Waiting until you know more, or your is perfect, will only doom you ultimately to failure.

If you have not begun in a serious, focused manner, you need to start today. Now.

Making a good income from internet marketing is not easy. The number of people trying for exactly that, and comparatively few doing so, gives stark testimony to this fact. But the rewards can be absolutely staggering. Ask anyone who makes a quarter of a million dollars a year and more online.

Take systematic action everyday to ensure you are heading towards your goal, and you could be joining those high income earners.

Hot Tip! If you are going to create a web site as an internet marketing solution then you must optimize it for the search engines. The highest quality and cheapest visitors are those that come from free search engine listings.

With internet marketing, it is like many other pursuits in life. Many fall short, because they did not put forth the continual effort necessary.

In the end, this is what separates those making under one thousand dollars a month, from those achieving over ten.

It is not a quick and easy way to make cash, as many peddling online would have you believe. As I myself believed early on. Eventually, I had the realisation it would only come with a sustained, patient, and dogged effort.

The Truth About Internet Marketing. Discover the astonishing whole truth and nothing but the truth about internet marketing.

There are no short cuts. I wish there were. Even those who seem to be overnight successes, had to pay their dues. As we all do, in order to materialize our dreams. Many who appear seemingly out of nowhere, actually spent two or three years before that, learning the ropes and getting established.

Internet Marketing is one of the best ways to gain above middle class income I have ever seen. And also one of the easiest. Comparatively, of course. There really is no easy way to make money. It still takes a lot of work, just a smoother path to financial freedom than virtually any other method that exists.

Especially now as more and more people discover and can gain access to the internet.

The next few years are paved with unlimited opportunity. There will never be a more opportune occasion to begin than now, as the internet is still relatively new.

Are you prepared to do what it takes to grab your own share?

Internet ISP’s

La Oficina De Empleos De Internet. El Portal Lider de Empleos en America Latina.

Choosing an internet ISP is often a rash and impulsive decision, but you should put more research and time into this decision to achieve the best results. Internet ISP’s are the portal by which you get onto the internet to visit websites. There are many different ones to choose from. The main goal that you should have in choosing one is that it offers a steady and consistent connection without disruptions, as well as speed.

Internet Classified Horse And Pony Ads. Buy and Sell Horses and Ponies Online Worldwide - Fully Searchable - Photos and Hyperlinks included. Global Advertising.

Internet ISP service prices vary from company to company. You should not solely base your decision on price though. There are many other things to take into consideration when choosing an internet ISP. Here are a few:

1. How many email addresses do they allow per account?

2. Do they offer personal web site service?

3. Can I connect from anywhere?

4. What is the amount of web storage that is available?

5. Do they offer SPAM block or virus protection? What is the cost?

6. What is their customer service like? Is their response quick and helpful, or slow and irritating?

7. What type of service do they offer? Dial-up, DSL, cable, satellite, etc.

8. What are their billing options? Do they allow you to pay monthly or by the year?

9. If you have children, do they have web blocking service?

10. If you are on dial-up, are there local access numbers?

Hot Tip! Submit your website to search engines and directories This is another cost effective way of driving traffic to your internet business. It is free if you can manually submit your website to search engines and directories.

As you can see there are many different things that you need to take into consideration when choosing an internet ISP. This list is not inclusive, there may be many more items that are important to you and your family.

When you find an internet ISP that you are interested in, research them via internet or by asking friends. Call their customer service number and ask questions to see how well they answer the questions and to give you a feel of their availability and response. A simple five to ten minute conversation can give you a pretty good idea of what their service would be like if you had a problem.

Narrow it down to two or three choices and then line up their features side by side to see which one is the right choice for you. You may find that they vary little or you may find that they vary widely. This will give you a clear picture of your choices to enable you to make the right choice for you and your family. This will give you an internet ISP that is sure to make every member of your family happy!

Necessity of Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Marketing. Web page site promotion submission services, Search engine keyword optimisation, Internet marketing, Position ranking.

Search engine optimization has evolved over years. In good old days, tweaking on-page parameters like meta tags, headlines, alt tags, keyword shoving and anchor texts used to fetch good results. This is less likely these days since the techniques are simple to implement. As a result there is no dearth of optimized websites.

Be that as it may, for new websites it is always a good idea to start doing all that before exploring other avenues. In this article I will look at why search engine optimization is necessary, proceeding to unravel basic issues in this game before touching on aging factor which I believe is the cornerstone of success on the web.

Hot Tip! It promotes products or services that were not mentioned in the page description from the search engine.

Why search engine optimization?

When you are looking for information on a topic on the web, you usually query your favorite search engine for search terms relevant to your topic. The search engine on its part displays a list of web-pages which it thinks are closely related to your search term. The web-pages that appear at top are considered more important than the ones that appear successively below. Question arises as to how search engines must know which pages are more important for the search query.

Hot Tip! Develop a linking strategy. One factor that influences how well you are ranked in the search engines is linking.

This is where you step into the realm of search engine optimization. For all your painstaking effort, if your webpage is not considered important by search engines, you will remain undiscovered forever. Remember, search engines are not humans. They are machines. Which is why you need to let your webpage talk to them to achieve top ranking.

The mental block - do I need it?

If search engine optimization is important, why is it that many website owners still do not feel any need for it? One may say they are naïve, so they are. I have come across many of them who strongly feel that after a website is launched, nothing more needs to be done. There is a perception that once a website is there in world-wide-web, it is bound to be ‘known’ soon. Known to whom? ‘Why, Google will know me’ is a common refrain. It is only much later that one discovers that nobody, not even Google knows his site.

To be true, Google’s knowing your website is not a big deal. Just have an already-indexed website point a link to your main page. Google will shortly find out your main page and from there your other pages as well. This is exactly the way Google is indexing billions of new webpages everyday.

On the flip side, suppose your webpage has nice description of trekking in Himalayas. You have provided good information and pictures on the subject in the page. Yet if I am to search for the term ‘trekking in Himalayas’ in Google, will I get to see your webpage in the first 20 or 30 results? Perhaps not. Because, even though your website is indexed by Google, it still does not know that your webpage on ‘trekking in Himalayas’ is important enough to be listed high for the term.

On to optimizing web content

If indeed optimizing your web content is necessary, how do you proceed? As mentioned in the beginning, search engine optimization is an exercise of dressing up your webpage based on a chosen set of keyword phrases. This is to be done in such a way that the content appeals to human visitors as much as it does to search engine robots.

Hot Tip! AVOID USING ROBOTIC SUBMISSIONS TO THE TOP SEARCH ENGINES: When submitting your web page to one of the top 8 search engines, try to post your page manually rather than using any automated software or sites that post for you to get into the prime search engines. Many people believe that over 70% of your hits will come from Google and Yahoo! It’s probably worth spending a considerable amount of time trying to get a good ranking from theses search engines.

In a previous article, I have dealt on how to include keyword phrases to write an optimized content. To be sure, other than optimization you will need quality incoming links as well. But that is a different story.

The basic issues

If we have understood the inevitability of search engine optimization, let us briefly touch upon some basic issues.

1
Search engines list a webpage, not a website. This means one has to optimize individual web-pages (except those that are public disclosures) while maintaining overall aim and balance of the website.

2
Optimization of a webpage, in its primitive, centers around strategically locating one or more keyword phrases in that webpage. Number of keyword phrases to be used and frequency of each will depend on total number of content-words in that page.

Hot Tip! You need to target specific keywords. For example if you have a website about dating then you’ll probably find it quite difficult to achieve high search engine rankings initially with that single term.

3
Optimization for search engines is not an one-off exercise. Rather it has to be an ongoing effort to create web-pages. Websites that are veterans of many years have thousands of web-pages in their database.

4
Search engine optimization usually does not fetch immediate result. For new websites, specially in case of Google, it can be a long wait, sometimes several months.

5
If your website generates lot of traffic by itself, it has a fair chance to rank high in SERPs’ (search engine result pages), even if you have not done much of an optimization (for example, xe.com’s real-time currency conversion service). This means that your product or service is so unique that simple word-of-mouth publicity is enough to bring in torrents of visitors, while also ensuring prominent rank in search results.

6
Search engine optimization is not merely an exercise of shuffling keyword phrases. The content has to make sense to readers. In other words, ensure that your content passes usability test.

Hot Tip! You need to choose the keywords that you want people to find your site with. Put yourself in your visitors shoes - think about what they might use to find you in the search engines.

7
Apart from keyword-enriched content, there are more factors responsible for achieving top rank, specially building quality links that point to your website. To search engines, incoming links are like ‘votes’ in favor of your website. A good quality link carries considerable weight in the eyes of search engines.

8
Finally, lest one forgets, optimizing for search engines is only one part of the game. The other equally important necessity is to retain and satisfy your visitors.

Hot Tip! Robot tag: The robot tag helps in robot indexing in the search engine index pages.

Summing up - the aging factor

In Bengali, my mother tongue, there is a saying, which when roughly translated, means ‘seasoned paddy-grains make more rice’. In SEO parlance, nothing beats if you are at it for years. Search engines love the aging factor. Create good content. Allow it to settle. Revisit it to update occasionally. Repeat the cycle.

In other words, search engine optimization is all about letting it known that your website is a treasure-hub of great relevant content that only gets better as time passes.

Writing Ebay Titles that Sell

Online Auction Expert’s Bible To eBay® Help for sellers at eBay® Online Auctions. Expert strategies, secrets and tutorials to help you Electrify your profits on eBay® .

What are titles? They are the headings above eBay auctions.
It’s my opinion you write a better title after you have written out your auction information.
After all, you have all the product information right in front of you, well organized and well written.
Writing the title is then straightforward and easy.

Writing titles is not for selling and not necessarily for marketing or advertising. Writing titles is purely for getting “found” by the eBay search engine.

Hot Tip! Firearms are strictly regulated by US law and may not be sold on eBay.

Simple & Straightforward

What does a title for one of your eBay products need to do?
The title should:

• Completely identify the item
• Contain appropriate keywords for the eBay search engine
• Indicate exactly whether the item is new,2nd hand and if used, indicate the condition that the item is in.

Your Own eBay® Consignment Business. Complete Guide To Making Money Selling Other People’s Items On eBay®.

It’s that simple. Don’t try to make it more complicated. Notice that I didn’t say the following:

• Try to attract attention
• Hook prospective buyers
• Start the sales process off

Indeed, the need to use hype is a misconception that many eBay sellers make. They are not clear about the purpose of the title therefore tend to offer information in the title that is NOT needed.
Let’s say you are selling a Canon Powershot Digital Camera, a well known brand with several models. Prospective buyers get to the list of digital cameras via the eBay search (i.e., keywords = digital and camera)
If a potential buyer is looking for a Canon Powershot, you want him to be able to immediately spot your title in the very long list of titles for Canon digital cameras.

The Silent Sales Machine Hiding On eBay® All new. 120% Bigger - The Best eBay® success strategies all in one place - Automate your income Today.

The following title says it all:

The eBay® Newbie Course.

“Canon Powershot Digital Camera New”

Garage Sale Strategies For eBay® Success.

A prospective buyer can read the list quickly and spot this title easily.
You’ve done your job well. Once prospective buyers have found your ad, they will read your ad copy. That’s where you make your
sales pitch.
Anything that detracts from potential buyers finding your auction ad easily will result in fewer bidders and ultimately lower sales prices.

Prospecting On eBay® Generate leads for your products and services on the world’s 8th most visited website.

For instance, look at some of the following titles:

CANON CAMERA POWERSHOT FABULOUS DIGITAL CAMERA!!!
***Great Fast Action - digital camera, new in box ****
Fast Action camera !!! - Canon - award winning !!! - in the box!!

The first is in all caps, which is hard to read.
The second uses characters that interfere with skimming. In addition, it doesn’t say much that’s concrete. It doesn’t even include the brand.
The third is difficult to read due to the exclamation marks.
And what does “in the box” mean? It probably means new, but
it could mean used but put back in the box.

Hot Tip! Raffles and prizes are 100% prohibited. According to eBay, such promotions are highly regulated and may be unlawful in many states.

“Award winning” is OK for an auction ad but not for a title; it doesn’t help identify the product. These titles will cost you potential buyers.
There’s no reason to make an art out of writing titles. They are
Straight forward. Just identify what’s for sale using words that potential buyers will use to search.

Make Money Tearing Up Old Books and Magazines and Selling Them on eBay

Cyber Moms Guide To Creating eBay® Income. A 300 page eBook designed for the organizationally challenged. Learn effective time mgt, scheduling and how to include your kids.

Vintage books and magazines were packed with prints and advertisements and other paper items which are not only interesting, but very collectable, and profitable, too. So many things derived from these old publications are hot sellers on eBay including: prints, advertisements, knitting and other craftwork patterns, recipes, how to articles, historical articles, music scores, stories and other out of copyright material … etc., etc, etc.

eBay® Misspelled Item Search System. Find great deals by searching the thousands of misspelled eBay® items Daily.

Let me introduce you to just a few of these easy to find items.

Prints

Old prints are valuable collectors’ pieces and there’s a good income to be made simply from packaging prints neatly and categorizing them according to theme, eBay’s best sellers being: animals, sports (especially golf and horse racing), royalty, music hall artists, topographical (named locations) and children.

The eBay® -Insider. an insider’s guide to getting help on eBay® .

Advertisements

Advertisements were often hugely ornate, colored or black and white, photographic or artist-drawn. Whatever shape they take, framed and unframed, mounted and unmounted advertisements are very popular on eBay where only recently an advertisement placed by a slave trader in The Memphis Daily Avalanche in 1859 fetched $200.

Underground eBay® System. A true insiders guide to having your own profitable eBay® business.

Clippings

‘Clippings’, sometimes called ‘Cuttings’ as both names suggest, are simply items cut from books and other printed publications. They can be large or small, or even comprise entire sections of a book linked to a specific theme. They can fetch high prices on eBay as did a 1909 article about the magician Houdini that went for $200 in May 2005 and clippings of Rudolph Valentino fetched $305 at around the same time.

eBay® Profit Explosion.5,000 A Week!

Gifts and Advertising Novelties from Early Publications

I Make $500k A Year With CB eBay®

Early publications often contained useful free gifts for readers, some of which are profitable collectors’ items today. The most common free gifts were advertising inserts and sometimes advertising blotters, rulers, children’s painting books and maps. Maps are particularly prolific in older books and are amongst eBay’s highest priced items, such as the 1873 Beers Atlas of Maps of Long Island New York which recently fetch over $2,000 and a Mitchell’s Map of Missouri and Arkansas found folded inside a tatty old book from 1937 that reached $1702.

Your Own eBay® Consignment Business. Complete Guide To Making Money Selling Other People’s Items On eBay®.

Posters

Some early publications, larger ones, had double center page spreads that make great posters and prints. They can fetch bids of $20 and more. As for all publications, learn to specialize, and look for special interest magazines, targeting a specific audience, say dog lovers, train enthusiasts, classic cars, and so on. This way you gain experience about specific subjects and the person to buy from on eBay.

Fancy Dress

Another very easy project where all you have to do is look for copyright-free patterns and designs which you can combine into books or sell individually. They are all great sellers on eBay especially for traditional fancy dress anniversaries such as Halloween.

Cartoons

The secret here is to look for copyright-free cartoons which you can copy and mount or frame as they are or revamp to suit today’s market. As for other copyright-free material, although there is no law against lifting and using cartoons, it is arguably immoral and unethical to claim the work as your own.

Hot Tip! After spending time doing the legwork I mentioned above, you’ll find that a few eBay sellers seem to be ideal to buy from. Add them to your favorite seller’s list.

Cater for Lovers …. Of Anything and Everything!

Actually, that title is a little misleading because this project covers virtually every interest for which there is a large, better still, indeterminate audience. Books and such compiled here can be sold in printed, CD or downloadable fashion on eBay.

Auction Elite - eBay® Power Seller Course. Learn all the insider secrets to selling on eBay® for a living.

This is my particular favorite and, arguably, the easiest to profit from. All you do here is clip, collect and collate as many snippets as you can relating to one particular subject or theme. Cats, dogs, golf, writing, children, Amish recipes, fortune-telling, witchcraft, and more, are useful ideas for books that are simply compilations of everything you find on the topic.

Let Grandma’s Kitchen Make Money For You

There’s money to be made from compiling early recipes in book or report form for selling in print, CD or via email attachment from eBay listings. Recipes don’t need to be popular today; you might research and write up on some of the far less appetizing dishes our ancestors might have ‘enjoyed’ centuries before.

Knitting Patterns

Knitting and other craftwork patterns are hugely popular sellers on eBay, especially unusual and niche market types, such as dolls’ clothing, war-time economy designs, clothes for animals, and so on. Again, look for out-of-copyright items and other patterns that never had legal copyright. Many old publications included free patterns as loose items or pull-out publications which need no additional work on them to sell. However, you are not always allowed to copy these items so where you have a good seller, work hard to obtain as many copies of the parent copy publication as possible.

Hot Tip! Create Your About Me Page – An “About Me” age is a Free Web page eBay gives you to promote yourself and your auctions. Include your shipping information, contact information, plus, you can also add links to your auctions and you can list your positive feedback.

So many books and magazines available, so many ways to make money from them, so what are you waiting for!

Yet, with the low cost and short time required to start an online business most people never realize their dream of working from home full-time and never see their business make a profit. Unfortunately, people believe that since it’s so easy to set up a business online it is also easy to make money with it. If you’ve started an online business then you have probably already realized this is not the case.

Online marketing isn’t easy, it’s tough! You have to do many things right and be willing to try, fail, try, fail, and try again. It weeds out the lazy, the incompetent, and all those who give up too easily. Internet Marketing Tools.

Does all this mean that marketing online is too hard? No, not at all, because once you put in your hard work it pays off unlike anything else! If you work hard and smart you can design your business to operate while you are on vacation or away from home. If you work hard and smart you can develop a business that gets easier over time and pays you more for doing less!

Cheap Internet Access

End Your Internet Porn Addiction. An easy to read book on resolving pornography addiction written by a psychology graduate.

For anyone trying to get the cheapest internet available, there are tons of options available. Some providers offer completely free service. But the trade-off is permanent pop ups along the bottom of your desktop, or other advertiser gimmicks that may inhibit your Internet experience.

But if you are living in the U.K. and want broadband service at its very cheapest, there are a few companies you should consider first.

Hot Tip! Do not allow your child any “late night” sessions on the internet.

First off would be Homecall Broadband. Homecall has voice and data bundled packages starting at just 19.99 pounds. These deals include 2 mbps in bandwidth, and the company always seems to be running specials too. For cheap Internet access and, as a bonus, solid broadband service, Homecall is someone worth checking out.

Wanadoo Broadband is another U.K. company to look at if you are looking for cheap broadband. The company also offers a 2 mbps deal that starts at 17.99 pounds. The deals also go up depending on how light or heavy a use your are. Wanadoo also offers a free modem and connection from time to time, a 50 pound value. Wanadoo also offers a six months free program for qualifying members.

BT Broadband is another U.K. firm that is becoming increasingly popular with its cheap Internet offerings. What BT offers deals from 26.99 pounds per month, and also has a variety of packages available for home or business.

Like anything, finding the cheap Internet access is not too hard. But doing a little research to find the most reliable and suitable product for your needs may be what’s important. There are a number of cheap Internet providers. But it may be best to talk to a few people who use their service to find out if they are reliable or not.

Hot Tip! Have an appropriate Domain name for your internet business Although this seems very obvious, it is often underestimated in its importance. It is ideal for your domain name to have some of your internet business’ key words to make sure that you can be found when someone does a search for your keywords online.

Also, look at your personal needs. Don’t let yourself get sold up into a package that is more than what you need. Figure out what you need first, then shop for that when you are looking to find a cheap Internet provider. One aspect of finding cheap Internet access is knowing if you are using it for home or office. If you have a small business that relies heavily on your computers, the cheapest may not always be the best option for you.

With competition for Internet users by Internet providers becoming more and more fierce every day, it can be said that cheap Internet access is more a buyer’s market. There are a number of providers who are willing to cut their rates or match the competitors’ prices to get your business. Anyone looking for cheap Internet access should know this before they start doing research. After that, you can look at who is offering the cheapest service with decent quality and use them as a barometer when shopping around.

Hot Tip! eBooks - eBooks are electronic books you can read on your computer or your MP4 player or print out if you prefer hard copies. eBooks are instantly delivered electronically via a simple download from the Internet to the customer.

Why "Pay-for-Performance" SEO is a Better Investment than "Guaranteed" Search Engine Placement

Affiliate Url Search Engine Submissions!

You’re a business owner looking to increase profits by carefully selecting an SEO company to boost your site’s rankings and traffic. It’s tempting to go with a search engine optimization company that promises what appears to be a risk-free offer: the “Guaranteed or your money back” promise that appears on many SEO websites can be very appealing. And very deceptive.

The truth is that most of these guarantees are clever word play with the truth tucked away somewhere deep within the contract’s fine print that most customers don’t even read. That places the odds heavily in favor of the SEO keeping your money and leaving you with no results to show for your investment.

That’s why it’s so important to read, ask questions and fully understand any search engine optimization agreement before you sign it and pay for it.

Hot Tip! keywords placed inside link text are considered important by search engines, because they indicate that your page is genuinely dealing with those keywords by giving more references to them.

And unfortunately, you also will have to accept some level of risk that goes along with entering into any sort of marketing agreement… especially the kind of SEO agreement that offers what I call “false hope” guarantees. Since the companies promoting them won’t tell you how they really work, I will.

Hot Tip! Generate traffic from all major search engines.

The False Hope Guarantee

The most common false hope guarantee goes something like this:

“Guaranteed Top 10 Rankings On Major Search Engines or Your Money Back!”

Looks good, right? Until you find out that the “Major Search Engines” include not just the big three (Google, Yahoo! and MSN) but also the little eight (Ask, AlltheWeb, Alta Vista, Netscape, Looksmart, Lycos, ExactSeek and Excite.)

Guide To Search Engine Optimization. Guide to Obtaining a #1 Ranking in the Search Engines.

Now I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing that “Excites” me about having my site listed in any search engine other than Google, Yahoo! and MSN. So what’s wrong, you ask, with being listed in those other search engines, too?

The problem is, if you read the SEO agreement carefully you will see that you are only guaranteed a certain number of top ten placements among the search engines listed and NOT necessarily in all the engines listed.

So, let’s say they guaranteed you 10 top 10 search engine placements. Then they got just one of your keyword phrases ranked in the top 10 organic listings of the eight minor engines. According to their guarantee, that counts as 8 top 10 placements towards your guaranteed 10. Get one more keyword phrase in both Alta Vista and Excite, well there’s your top 10… and lo and behold, you still have zero rankings in the three engines that matter most: Google, Yahoo! and MSN.

I’m sure there are companies that offer this kind of guarantee and actually do deliver top rankings in Google, Yahoo! and MSN. But those companies are rare and hard to separate from the pack.

The Surprise Guarantee

Here’s another scenario that’s all too common. Let’s say the SEO company offering this type of agreement does hit the mark on the top three engines plus a few extra… everyone’s happy, right? The rankings were achieved, you happily continue to pay your monthly fees for the remainder of your 6 or 12 month agreement, but then you discover the guarantee is no longer valid because the agreed-upon rankings were achieved. Once.

Hot Tip! AVOID USING JAVA AND FRAMES IN YOUR PAGES: Search engine robots have a difficult time with pages containing Java and frames (not the Java Script tip below which is ignored by search engines). In order to establish a high relevancy and therefore a high rank do not use these methods in the pages you submit to the search engines.

Then one day the algorithms shift, as we know they are prone to do, and your rankings drop. What then? According to the agreement, you still have to keep paying your monthly dues even though the guarantee of top ten rankings is now null and void.

The Better Option

That’s why a pay-for-performance organic SEO campaign based on top 10 (first page) rankings is a much safer bet. As long as you’re only paying for the rankings the company delivers, you’re protected from any deceptive top 10 guarantees and contractual loopholes.

1StopSubmit Search Engine Submission. Free and low cost search engine submission services to Msn, Yahoo, Aol, and over 200,000 more search engines and directories.

Here is an example of one of the better pay-for-performance monthly maintenance plans for SEO services:

Number of Top 10 Rankings on Google / Yahoo! / MSN Achieved:

0-9 top 10 rankings = $0
 10 or more = $300
 20 or more = $400
 30 or more = $500
Hot Tip! Use Overture's Site Match to submit to Yahoo!'s family of search engines.
With this type of an arrangement, you benefit in several ways: • you are only paying for rankings in the three search engines that matter most, • you don't pay for any rankings, regardless of how good they are, until there are ten of them in the top 10, • and after that you only pay according to how well the company performs for you.

So when the search engines throw your site a curve ball and rankings dip, your SEO budget is protected because you only pay for the rankings you get.

In summary, when shopping for SEO services be skeptical of any money back offer that guarantees top ten results. Instead consider the protection offered by pay-for-performance SEO plans.

And whichever option you choose, never take the sales rep’s word for it. Get it in writing and understand every word of the contract before you sign. It’s the best way to protect your marketing investment.

Hot Tip! Given the fact that a long URL is considered an attempt at spam, it would then seem to be true that search engine rankings can be improved by the use of keyphrases in a URL.

Internet Marketing: Putting Up a Website Is Just the Beginning-Part 1

The Truth About Internet Marketing. Discover the astonishing whole truth and nothing but the truth about internet marketing.

This article is a personal history of what I have found in several years of website design, website promotion and the internet in general. I started my venture into the internet in 2003. I attended seminars for two different internet website development and hosting companies. As always, the seminars made the internet sound like a “no-lose” proposition. They were both interesting, but to the uninitiated, anything sounds like it’s too good to be true. The first thing I discovered was that this must be very profitable for these companies to spend so much money on these all days seminars (meals included).

A quick mention of my background first. I have been involved in various entrepreneurial ventures over the years. I was not afraid to try something new. I probably started 7 of 8 business ventures over the years, with the forbearance of an understanding wife. Most of them made money, but some lost most of their luster as I found out more about them. This background led me to the potential of the internet. I just needed a way to get started. These seminars were what I needed to give me a taste of the possibilities.

Hot Tip! Develop shared metrics for IT and Internet marketing. IT is usually concerned about ROI and seeing projects implemented, while marketing wants leads, sales, and conversion.

While the seminar is free, the products they offered were not. After a full day of website magic, testimonials and promise of new found wealth, it was very difficult not to be swept away by the excitement of the moment. After attending the first seminar for one company, I found that I was better prepared to hear what the second company offered. It made me realize how little I actually knew. The technology seemed to be a lot more user friendly since I was computer literate, but didn’t know a single keystroke of any programming languages. With the new technology, it wasn’t necessary (mostly). I took the plunge in early 2003 and bought licenses for several websites. The offer was that the company would put up a limited site for you for free, and then leave it to you to run it. The other option was to read the hundreds of pages of tutorials and do it yourself. I chose the latter since I felt that I should be a lot more self-sufficient if I did it myself and had the ability to change the site to my liking. I didn’t want to depend on anyone every time I wanted to change the website. I soon discovered that it took more work than I anticipated to put the site together.

Hot Tip! If you are going to create a web site as an internet marketing solution then you must optimize it for the search engines. The highest quality and cheapest visitors are those that come from free search engine listings.

Once I picked a product, I found it was not as available as I thought and logistically it would be very difficult. I wanted to sell small appliances. The trouble was, there were sites selling the same products for less than they cost me. Back to the drawing board. I finally settled on watches as my first product to sell. It took 6 months to get the site ready to put on the internet. After all, I was working 50 to 60 hours per week at my main job plus about 20 hours a week of commuting. Also, my family wanted to see me occasionally. Rather than discourage me, these hours gave me the motivation to make the internet work for me. I couldn’t keep up those hours forever.

In my many years of running various businesses, I discovered one great truth; you can only be in one place at a time. I made up my mind that the only business I would be interested in was one that didn’t require my presence at all times. My criteria for any new venture is, “do I have to be there for the business to run?” The internet was certainly qualified based on this philosophy. The journey from seminar to running websites may be enlightening to those seeking to stake their claim on the internet.

Hot Tip! Developing a newsletter or ezine is a classic internet marketing solution that is a proven profit earner. The great thing about a newsletter is that you can develop a huge list of subscribers that is permission based.

In my next article, I will go into more detail about the day to day trials of the internet and how my experiences can help anyone choosing to go this route. It can be a long, but interesting journey. There are many articles on the internet addressing all areas of internet marketing, website promotion and the newest and best software (for the current week that is). My series of articles will be more of a narrative journey that may be helpful the new internet marketer.

Introduction to Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Essentials

Hot Tip! BE natural – Search engines like natural behavior. The days of quick make money internet marketing cd are gone.

We have written this analysis to provide readers with a brief guide to Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) essentials. If you have a website that is not bringing you as much traffic as you would wish, or you are planning a new website, you need to consider the following SEO essentials to ensure that you have the best chance of being ranked well in the search engines.

Keyword Research
Keywords or key phrases are the words that people type into search engines to find the results they want. If an initial search does not produce the kind of results that people are looking for they will refine their search so there will be a good number of phrases that people could use to find your website.

Brainstorm as much as possible to consider your target audience. Ask potential customers what keywords they would use, ask colleagues and compile a list of phrases that you think will be used. Then check it out using keyword research tools such as Wordtracker and Overture which will provide you with data on what people actually searched for. This is a useful exercise as you may find that a minor difference in search term can produce significantly more traffic!

Hot Tip! Given the fact that a long URL is considered an attempt at spam, it would then seem to be true that search engine rankings can be improved by the use of keyphrases in a URL.

Try to identify one primary search term per page and several secondary terms that would compliment the primary term. You can now apply your optimisation to individual pages.

Title Tag
This appears between these two tags. It should start with your primary phrase and be about 5-7 words. This title will appear in the blue bar at the top of your web page and will also provide the clickable link fro the search engine rankings.

Description Tag
This appears between these two tags. Your primary phrase should appear as soon as possible in the description but make sure it describes the page because there is nothing more frustrating for a visitor to your site if they get there and find that your description was not accurate. Often, but not always, the description will for part of the wording that is presented in the search engine rankings that will persuade a visitor to click on your link.

Hot Tip! KEEP META TAG KEYWORD LISTS UNDER 1000 CHARACTERS: Keep your meta tag keyword list to under 1000 characters. Anything more and you may have your relevancy rank penalized by search engines.

Keywords Tag
This appears between these two tags. Commas or no commas - whichever you choose be sure to be consistent. Don’t spam the keyword tag i.e. don’t repeat keywords over and over. Provide a list of relevant and complimentary keyphrases for those algorithms that give them a value.

Affiliate Url Search Engine Submissions!

Alt tag
If you have images or pictures on your site use the alt tag to provide information that describes the picture. Search engines cannot read pictures but they can read alt tags, in addition specialist software can read alt tags if disabilities prevent a user from viewing the pictures.

Hot Tip! Learn search engine optimization.

CONTENT IS KING!!
Write your web page copy for your human visitors first while also keeping search engine spiders in mind. Keyword density and prominence are measurements that are most efficiently considered in relation to competitors for specific rankings. Search engines also like to detect regular updates as this is an indication that sites are being maintained.

Hot Tip! Use Overture’s Site Match to submit to Yahoo!’s family of search engines.

Anchor text
Anchor text is the text that you define as a hyperlink to another page. The anchor text is expected to describe the theme of the page you would be jumping to by clicking on the link therefore anchor text has been given more value in search engine algorithms. If you use something like ‘click here’ as hypertext rather than something more descriptive (and keyword rich) such as, for example, ‘SEO Case Studies’ then you are missing an opportunity.

Hot Tip! Generate traffic from all major search engines.

Site Map
Add a site map to your site and link it from the home page so that spiders can crawl the site map quickly and from it crawl every important page on your site.

Google Site Map
Add a Google sitemap to your site - this is an xml file which visitors do not see and it is specifically for Google. By creating a Google sitemap, locating it in the root file and submitting it to Google you are ensuring that Google can easily identify every page on your site and also ensure that updates are notified to Google quicker than would happen without a Google sitemap.

Hot Tip! Do you have a secondary XML sitemap designed for search engines (see XML sitemap generator http://www.seo4internet.

Inbound links
Inbound links or links from other websites into your site provide credibility and emphasis the relative importance or authority that your site has over another site that has fewer links with relatively lesser importance. Inbound links have always been important but as search engines refine their algorithms in order to provide better and more relevant results they give more weight to ‘quality’ links that are considered relevant to the theme of the site or page. Irrelevant links or links from link farms are increasingly undesirable and may even incur a diminishing affect.

Site Structure and Navigation
The structure of your site can affect how efficiently search engines are able to spider your site - hence the use of site maps. It can also affect how efficiently a human visitor will be able to interact with your site and whether or not you are able to persuade them to complete the action you desire - whether it be to place an order, make an enquiry or gather the knowledge they need.

Hot Tip! keywords placed at the very end of a page are important because it tells the search engine that a page which started out describing a concept such as “search engine optimization” is still talking about it even at the very end.

If possible steer clear of framed sites and flash sites as these may cause problems for the effective spidering of a site.

Black Hat vs Ethical SEO
Black hat SEO uses methods to trick the search engines into awarding higher rankings and as these tricks are considered unethical you run the risk of having your site banned if you employ them. Duplicate sites, spamming, hidden text and cloaking are just a few black hat techniques. We would recommend ethical SEO every time.

Hot Tip! Each search engine has its own algorithm (formula) to determine site ranking.

Conclusion
The elements discussed above are considered to be the basics of search engine optimisation. Addressing these elements may be sufficient for some sites but more advanced SEO may be necessary to get rankings for other sites. If you have the time available to learn, research, test, adjust and test again then you have a good chance of being able to produce the kind of results in the search engines that you are looking for.
There is however much more to search engine optimisation than has been covered in these basic elements but this is an excellent starting point. Other elements to consider would include more advanced elements such as competitor research, keyword density and prominence, deep linking, ensuring clean code (W3C compatible), optimal site structure and navigation. You may also wish to consider blogging and RSS feed which can also be very effective methods to increase traffic.

How to Choose an Internet Service Provider

Cracking The Internet Matrix. Part time website pays my Mortgage, Car Note, and Grocery Bills every month. Learn the secret stategies of 13 marketing pros.

An Internet Service Provider, ISP, is a company that provides a gateway to the Internet for individuals and companies. In its simplest form, connecting to the Internet requires a telephone line to dial up an ISP using a computer and modem. The ISP then provides the route onto the Internet.

Rv Internet Access Guide. Information to help Rvers who need Internet access while on the road.

Choosing an Internet Service Provider requires a simple first step. Ask yourself: “What do I want to use the Internet for?” If you can answer this, you can then start to work out your requirements.

Answers to the question “What do I want to use the Internet for?” can include:

- How much will I use the Internet each month?
- What time of day will I use it?
- Do I need web space?
- Is customer support important to me?
- How many e-mail addresses will I need?
- Can the ISP support online payments?
- How much does it cost?

Reaching 64.8% Internet Users You Miss! 100% Safe and Ethical Search Engine Marketing Strategy - Google Approved - Double or Even Triple Your Website Traffic.

Another question to ask is “How long has the ISP been in business?” This might not seem important but in this industry ISP’s come and go quite regularly. Running an ISP requires extensive computer knowledge, experience and quality hardware, not to mention a reliable line into the Internet, plenty of good modems and adequate customer support.

Hot Tip! You have more friends on the internet than in real life.

Different types of Internet service

Dial-up: connects to the ISP using a modem. This is the most basic, slowest and cheapest option.

DSL: popular high speed internet service. It uses a regular telephone line to connect to the Internet, however it is faster that dial-up and allows you to access the Internet and use the phone at the same time.

Creating An Internet Empire. Money making eBook. Learn AdSense, Affilate Programs, Gpt’s and more.

Cable: high speed Internet service that uses your TV cable.

Satellite: It connects to the Internet using a satellite dish. It is more expensive than other options but allows people leaving in isolated areas to access the Internet.

Wireless: Connect to the Internet while you are away from home. Allows people to travel with their laptops and access the Internet from hot spots worldwide.

The next step should be to start calling the Internet Service Providers in your area or visiting their websites for more information. A good way to find out about a particular ISP in your area is to ask people who use it or try it yourself. On the Internet there are good ISP’s directories that you may want to visit as well.

Hot Tip! Be sure your child knows that it is very dangerous to actually meet anyone that they have talked with on the internet.

How to Start an eBay Bidding War

Hot Tip! List it on eBay under multiple ads with different titles for $.99 or so.

Imagine Just Two People in the Whole Wide World Want Something You Are Selling ….. Just Two People ….. Now Imagine More than Two People, Many More ….. Imagine Fierce Fighting Where You Are the Eventual Winner

A bidding war is where two or more people bid furiously against one another, each desperate to own a particular item.

Phenomenal results are possible, such as last month, where a postcard by artist A. R. Quinton, depicting a cliff view at Herne Bay, fetched £100 plus. By anyone’s standards, the card was worth about £3 for the view and maybe a few pounds more for the artist.

Hot Tip! Raffles and prizes are 100% prohibited. According to eBay, such promotions are highly regulated and may be unlawful in many states.

I checked and found that two serious bidders, one of Herne Bay topographical postcards, the other a Quinton enthusiast, had launched a bidding war that was eventually won by the Herne Bay collector, or was the real winner the seller of this rather common-a-garden postcard?

345,600+year On eBay® . We Have Proof! Your Next.

Such events are not uncommon. My own best selling item this month, a pair of vintage cufflinks with ancient Greek Coins, for which I paid £3 at a flea market, went for £34, with the two final bidders being a collector of cufflinks and another of Greek coins. The Greek coin collector won.

eBay® Profit Explosion.5,000 A Week!

You only need two bidders and it doesn’t matter if they’re interested in the same product or specific parts of your product or listing. The end result is always the same; more money for you.

You’re looking for just two people in the whole wide world, these tips will help you find them.

* List a minimum two items (or themes) in one lot. The trick is to make each item valuable in its own right and appealing to more than one person. The cufflinks and postcard are good examples. I’ve seen other wars raging over two completely unrelated postcards listed together; two books bearing no relation to one another; a pack of artist illustrated playing cards where one bidder wanted the cards and the other collected all things artist related.

* List in two eBay categories to achieve maximum market penetration. You can also list in two shop categories. For the Quinton/Herne Bay postcard I’d list under ‘Artist Drawn Postcards’ and ‘Topographical’.

Hot Tip! Gift Cards: If you frequently shop at a certain store, it pays (literally) to check out the gift certificates category on eBay. People resell gift cards they aren’t interested in using, and you can often get a good discount.

* Research and use commonly used keywords for your product to attract the highest audience for your item. Go to eBay Pulse pages for common keywords or use software such as Adword Analyzer to study most commonly used key words and phrases for specific subjects. Although developed largely for search engine optimisation and Google advertising campaigns and similar, products like Adword Analyzer are equally suitable for all areas of the Internet, including eBay.

* Offer free gifts and bonuses to attract interest from people selling similar items. For example, offer three cufflinks where most offer two (emphasise these things get damaged, lost, stolen); ship items postage free; add complementary items such as matching tie pin (free or otherwise) with cufflinks, free presentation boxes with every batch of wholesale necklaces, and so on.

Ultimate Auction eBooks For eBay® Success. The Ultimate collection of eBook concerning making money on eBay® . 00 each. Earn 50ith your CB hoplinks.

* Offer a free gift that is valuable in its own right, worth more than the product listed, and not available from any other source. Remember to change the freebie regularly as frequent buyers will have it already. Study and comply with eBay rules regarding gifts, bonuses and discounts. The trick is to find people not necessarily wanting your listed product, but very keen on the freebie.

Selling Old Typewriters On eBay

eBay® ’s Automated Traffic Pimp Income.

Typewriters are popular collectibles, especially very early models, and typewriters with past famous owners or a particularly interesting pedigree, which often fetch very high prices on eBay.

Because they’re bulky, often dirty, need lots of careful cleaning and sometimes repairs, most typewriters, old and modern, are overlooked and fetched low prices at local offline auction houses.

Despite this, anyone prepared to spend time cleaning, researching, repairing and eventually packing a typewriter, will find ready bidders on eBay in both the UK and USA, and no doubt other country sites, too.

Typewriters don’t always fetch fabulous prices, but most early typewriters, from the late 1800s and early 1900s rarely go unsold on eBay so you’re almost always going to make money.

Successful Selling On eBay® Manual. Earn 2000/3500 a week on eBay® and make a difference in 2006 . 81 pages of information to inspire. motivate and support.

Recent eBay prices range from £73 for an early Empire Typewriter from 1892, to £380 for a Salter Standard Victorian Typewriter in original tin carry case. More unusual typewriter types attract premium prices, such as a Braille typewriter that went for £142 and an early double keyboard model that fetched £127.

Misspelled eBay® Search System. Find 1000’s Of Misspelled eBay® Items And Save Big.

Outside of eBay some far higher prices have been achieved for very early and unusual typewriter models which are worth remembering at buying expeditions. For example, at Sotheby’s a Merritt typewriter from 1895 went for £715 some years ago, and at Koln in Germany The Auction Team valued a rare Imperial Typewriter, one of only three known to exist, at between £7,000 and £8,000.

Since the first successful commercial typewriters were introduced in the late 1860s many unusual designs have emerged, some plain and simple, others intricate and stunningly detailed. One of the simplest and earliest designs had a wheel with letters round the edge which was turned manually until the required letter appeared in front of the paper and was pushed to form an impression.

More complicated typewriters had double keyboards, one for lower case, the other for capitals, and were created in brass and mother of pearl hand painted with glorious gilded leaves and flowers. These are the kind of unusual models to watch out for at non-specialist auctions and they’re almost certain to attract high prices on eBay.

Hot Tip! When a customer does not adhere to the ‘Terms and Conditions’ in your eBay ad, it normally escalates into an eBay email battle. No one wins on this one - it drains your emotional state and wastes time.

These early models sometimes crop up at specialist typewriter auctions where they invariably fetch a high price. Not the place to buy in expectation of high resell fees on eBay but worth visiting for research and experience.

Like most collectibles, value depends mainly on rarity, not just age. For example, one of the earliest serviceable typewriters, the Underwood, created from 1900 to 1932 was made in the millions and can still be found in working condition, consequently they are worth very little.

Tips

* There are no catalogues or price guides for old typewriters such as those you’ll find updated annually for postcards and stamps, coins and ceramics. There simply aren’t enough collectors, or typewriters, to warrant special listings. Value, like many low volume collectibles is best determined at auction, and is the point where the price someone is willing to pay matches what the current owner will accept. By far the highest prices are paid for typewriters in good, clean, working condition, with or without restoration work.

Hot Tip! Gift Cards: If you frequently shop at a certain store, it pays (literally) to check out the gift certificates category on eBay. People resell gift cards they aren’t interested in using, and you can often get a good discount.

* You should clean typewriters carefully, getting right into the tiniest of grooves without causing damage to keys which were often long and spindly and unexpectedly delicate. I found the most comprehensive guide to cleaning old typewriters at: http://staff.xu.edu/~polt/typewriters/tw-restoration.html

Here’s just a tiny few of their suggestions:

‘A toothbrush and a nail brush can be helpful.

Hot Tip! List it on eBay under multiple ads with different titles for $.99 or so.

For a gentler initial cleaning on a basically clean machine, try Endust or Pledge (be cautious around decals (transfers), as occasionally these products can harm them).

For an even gentler and safer cleaning, simply use a few drops of dishwashing liquid dissolved in water.

Q-tips (similar to cotton buds) are very nice for cleaning hard-to-reach areas.

For initial dust removal, the vacuum-cleaner hose attachment kits sold in computer and computer supply stores and catalogues work very well!’

* Best places to buy are at general auction or from long established office equipment stores, but rarely will you get a bargain from antiques and second-hand dealers who invariably think old means valuable, for most items, and often they are wrong.

Hot Tip! One of the most important tips is to read every word in their auction page. People sell broken items on eBay.

* This is one of those collectibles you really need to study and learn what makes one older item worthless and a more modern type quite valuable. Web sites and books listed later provide much useful information. Choose one or both of those books mentioned later, they’re packed with pictures, and keep them close by on buying days.

The Ultimate eBay® Dropship Power Pak!

* Don’t expect to make more than fifty pounds or so on most early typewriters, but remember you can pick them up very cheaply indeed, I’ve seen them fetch less than a tenner at local auction. The trick to making money is to buy typewriters in good condition, but dirty, and spend time cleaning them up and taking several great photographs to display them from all angles for listing on eBay.

* Be careful about delivery costs. These early models are extremely heavy and may cost way more to have delivered than they themselves are worth. Where possible, look for local buyers or others willing to collect.

Hot Tip! The majority of buyers on eBay prefer to pay for their purchase via PayPal. That is why it is vital for you to accept this method of payment.

A good internet connection provider will offer many different payment plans, like debit or credit cards and check by phone. They will not tie you to a contract, but allow you to terminate service if it does not meet your needs with a 30 day notice with no penalty fees. They will also offer a 24/7 customer service line that gives quality responses in a fair amount of time.

Cheaper prices may give you a cheaper connection with more disconnections and disruptions. Call the customer service department to ask them some questions concerning their internet service. This will give you more of an idea of what they are like. Are they professional and answer your questions quickly and without hesitation? Or do they act like you are asking for the moon?
